  • Partner closely with hiring managers and regional stakeholders to understand their staffing needs, define role requirements, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and diversity objectives.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of Sub Saharan Africa’s diverse cultures, languages, and business environments to effectively assess candidate fit and address region-specific challenges in recruitment.
  • Promote the organization as an employer of choice within the Sub Saharan African market by crafting compelling job descriptions, showcasing company values, and participating in career fairs or industry events.
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, reference checks, offer negotiation, and onboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with local labor laws, immigration regulations, and employment standards across different countries in Sub-Saharan Africa to mitigate legal risks.
  • Utilize recruitment metrics and analytics to track performance, measure success, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve recruitment processes to meet organizational hiring targets efficiently.

Talent Acquisition Specialist focusing on Sub-Saharan Africa should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology, along with 3 – 5 years of experience in recruitment within Africa. They must have regional knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa, including its labour markets and cultural dynamics, and demonstrate proficiency in using recruitment tools like Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Strong communication skills in English are essential, with additional languages being a plus, as well as proven experience in stakeholder management to effectively collaborate with hiring managers and candidates. The ideal candidate should also exhibit problem-solving and adaptability skills to navigate challenges unique to the region, along with basic technical and analytical skills to interpret recruitment data and improve processes.
