Why do we need you ?

NOVA External Ventures is the Saint-Gobain unit dedicated to developing strategic partnerships between the Group and start-up companies all over the world. The External Ventures team serves as a unique interface for start-ups to create and develop links with all the Group's activities.

NOVA is seeking an External Ventures Manager to continue to drive Saint-Gobain's growth through exploration of external partnerships and strategic investments. In this role, you will work with Saint-Gobain business leaders to advance innovation and grow business activities through identifying and engaging with start-up companies that align with the strategic focus of the business and/or the Group. As part of a dynamic, global team, you will bring the most promising external innovations to the Saint-Gobain Group and will help our parent company to benefit from access to new technologies, new business models and passionate entrepreneurs.

Key Accountabilities:

Establish a strong network in the startup ecosystem, and represent Saint-Gobain at industry, investor and partner conferences
Identify high-quality startups having the potential to make an impact on Saint-Gobain's product portfolio
·Facilitate collaboration between startup companies and SG businesses
·Analyze opportunities to develop compelling investment cases
·Ability to conduct due diligence, contribute to deal structure and support negotiation of the contract with prospective start-up partners
·Identify and monitor new market trends and advise internal stakeholders accordingly
·Understand overall strategy within internal business units and translate those business objectives and strategies to identify opportunities aligned with current efforts
·Ability to deal with high visibility within the organization, especially with executive teams; potential impact on the business strategy
·Support NOVA's existing portfolio companies

Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years experience or master's degree with 3+ years of experience or PhD with 1 year experience in Engineering/Science with additional background in Business, Finance, or Legal being a plus
· 1+ years of experience in Start-up, Venture Capital Investor, or M&A experience or experience in fields like strategy, consulting, finance, business development, investments, etc. preferred
· Must possess a body of technical work commensurate with years of experience.

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $92,000 to $142,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $103,040-TTC to $159,040-TTC. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
