Why do we need you ?
Saint-Gobain Abrasives has an exciting career opportunity for a Maintenance 1st Class- Millwright based in Plattsville, ON to join our team. This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success.
Perform all designated maintenance activities as directed by the Maintenance and Controls Manager to insure reliable operation of equipment, and minimizing unplanned downtime.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and repair all plant machinery and facilities using all equipment and tools as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, measure and layout operations, select work piece materials, and repair or build machines or components to pre-scribed tolerances.
- Direct and instruct all mechanical-related employees in lower classification including apprentices, helpers.
- Maintain boilers and related equipment.
- Perform necessary repairs and modifications to building/facilities.
- Work with Maintenance Engineer.
- Must be able to carry out reasonable electrical duties.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Obey all existing fire and safety regulations

Is this job for you ?
Requirements:
- Licensed Millwright (433A)
- 3-5 years related experience, preferably in an industrial capacity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office products
- Strong accuracy/organizational skills
- Must be able to troubleshoot basic problems independently
Required Experience
- Millwright experience – 1 year
- License 433A
