POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Install/Repair role is responsible for multiple tasks in the machine installation area. Tasks include prepping parts, assembling subcomponents, repairing of machines, and additional tasks as required. This position is essential to ensure machines are properly installed or repaired in a manner that meets our quality standards and productivity requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Work in a safely and timely manner
• Prepares trucks and machines for final installation
• Lifts and positions machines into the box trucks
• Installs drive shafts for powering machines
• Installs air intakes and exhaust piping in truck box walls and floors
• Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions
• Positions or aligns components and parts
• Uses hand tools or power tools
• Conducts quality control checks
• Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms

• Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented is a must
• Fork truck operation required
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
• 1-3 years of mechanical work experience
• 1-3 years of experience using powered or non-powered hand tools such as drivers, ratchets, drills and saws
• Basic blueprint reading
• Ability to stand for long hours and work in a non temperature controlled environment
• Bilingual is preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a manufacturing plant environment with limited HVAC, concrete floors, and exposure to industrial noise, dust, chemicals and temperature changes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job includes tasks that require walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair and ladder climbing. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment necessary to comply with government and company safety standards whenever engineered methods of reducing hazards or physical requirements cannot be reasonably accommodated.
