What’s the job?
Employees will be responsible for the working in the trailer loading operation which includes operating a forklift, handling inventory, working in & around semi-trailers, understanding the safe movement of traffic in & out of the trailer loading area, and the securing of trailers for loading.
Shift: 2nd (3pm-11pm)
Compensation: $21.00/hour
Primary Functions:
- Understand Pedestrian & Mobile Equipment safety in the work area
- General housecleaning of the work area
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Understand Plant & Distribution Safety Rules
- Able to understand and apply all safety procedures
- Understand and follow all SOPs related to the Distribution Trailer Loading operations
- Understand all Plant emergency situations & procedures
- Complete Employee Safety Orientation & all safety training programs
- Report all safety incidents to Team or Group Leaders
- Proper use of necessary PPE required in the Plant work areas
- Ability to operate safely a powered industrial vehicle (forklift)
- Proper transport and stacking of board in a safe and productive manner
- Proper loading of board onto flatbed & cabana trailers
- Ensuring risers are removed from all bays when empty
- Operation of propane powered forklifts to load, unload, transport and stack materials
- Completion of pre –shift / walk around inspections of forklifts
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as cleaning, lubricating, fueling or replacing propane tanks
- Proper placement of risers on board units in the warehouse
- Complete inventory security in the loading process
- Understand safety procedures on semi-trucks & trailers
- Could be reassigned and required to perform other duties as requested
- Assist in any duties deemed necessary for Successful Department Performance

Working Conditions:
- Ability to work overtime as needed for business.
- Ability to work in office or warehouse setting, including various climate environments
- Ability to work in warehouse floor elements, including dust, noise & odors
- Ability to demonstrate acceptable attendance
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as required
Physical Demands:
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hard hats
- Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 pounds
