Why do we need you ?
The Customer Master Data (“CMD”) Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and demonstrating outstanding technical abilities to effectively execute the Customer Master Data processes within Saint-Gobain in North America. The supervisor has strong knowledge of the operational processes for the customer master process and can manage the overall process and operational performance of the Customer Master team. This position reports directly to the Master Data Operations Manager, with responsibility for all businesses in the Saint-Gobain North America region that are in scope of the customer master process.
Supervisory & Team Leadership
o Establish and monitor the goals and objectives within the department including error rates, cycle times and business support; These objectives include team performance, responsiveness, department flexibility, accuracy, service levels to both internal customers for assigned activities
o Ensure CMR support is available during US Holidays and coverage is adequate to support stakeholders during normal business hours.
o Effective onboarding and training employees
o Communicate and train internal stakeholders (ie. Sales, CSR's) on key master data processes ie COA, CMD processes and document requirements.
o Investigate issues and works with CMR's to identify and implement solutions ensuring timely and accurate responses
o A change agent actively collaborating with stakeholders on business changes or new requirements, equipping the team to effectively navigate and support those changes while maintaining employee engagement
Process Management & Problem Solving
o Develop and maintain all relevant policies and processes within scope to achieve company goals
o Identify opportunities to streamline or automate administrative processes; an active problem-solving mindset; and implementing required changes
o Lead cross-functional discussions and meetings as they relate to Customer Master
o Ensures processes align with internal controls requirements and all company policies
o Ensures timely, responsible, and professional communication to internal customers
o Strong awareness and understanding of the complexities and nuances of all businesses and ERP requirements.
o Effective collaboration with the Sales, Customer Service, IT (ERP), Credit Department, Sales Force, IT/D&A, etc. to address upcoming projects, troubleshooting, and/or system testing as required to support North America.
Administrative
o Ability to troubleshoot all systems - including SAP and any other programs utilized by the Customer Master Team
o Engages as subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams
o Assists the businesses and Customer Master in achieving must win battles and company objectives
o Managing processes, procedure, and ensure compliance for all assigned activities, including international trade compliance (ex: trade compliance processes)
Is this job for you ?
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is required
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in finance or related field within a complex and matrix organization
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience is highly preferred
- Dynamic individual with the ability to motivate and lead is crucial
- Self-starter with the ability to independently drive activities
- Ability to solve complex problems that involve competing priorities and make data-driven decisions or recommendations that align decisions with strategies
- Outstanding organziation, communication, and presentation skills is required
