We are seeking a motivated entry-level mechanic who is eager to build a career in industrial maintenance. This role is ideal for candidates with a college diploma, trade foundation, or technical diploma who are ready to be trained and developed within a structured maintenance system.

The successful candidate will support the maintenance team, gain hands-on experience, and progressively develop the technical skills required to become a licensed Industrial Mechanic or Millwright.

Shift change may be required to support operational needs

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Occasional Weekends

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and test manufacturing equipment in accordance with specifications;
Provide mechanical and technical support to production equipment and collaborate with cross-functional teams;
Assist with and/or lead equipment inspections, identifying early signs of wear or failure;
Complete repairs, rebuilds, and fabrication of production line machinery and components;
Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives;
Respond to equipment breakdowns and support timely resolution;
Assist with or perform assembly/disassembly of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components;
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment (5S standards);
Accurately document maintenance work in logs or CMMS systems;
Communicate with suppliers, contractors, and technical teams for troubleshooting support;
Follow direction from Maintenance leadership and effectively prioritize tasks;
Adhere to all company policies, including health & safety, LOTO procedures, and quality standards.

Wymagania

College Diploma, Trade Foundation, or Technical Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Maintenance (or related field);
No license required — willingness to learn and grow is essential;
Basic understanding of mechanical systems (gears, bearings, belts, conveyors, etc.);
Exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, or industrial equipment (asset);
Ability to read and interpret basic drawings or diagrams (asset);
Strong interest in hands-on mechanical work;
Good safety awareness and willingness to follow procedures;
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic;
Ability to work independently with guidance and as part of a team;
Ability to work under pressure.

Working conditions:

Frequent presence on the production floor is required;
Duties involve walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces as needed;
Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with government regulations and company policies.
