  • Identify the customers’ key priorities for us to improve our service / management of their account and champion internal projects to quickly improve on the current position.
  • Create and develop a sales plan for the account in line with the channel strategy which can be easily understood by all stakeholders concerned creating a clear vision of how the plan can successfully contribute towards the objectives of the customer and GIM.
  • Oversee the implementation of the account plan, including the negotiation of trading terms, which will deliver the best possible balance of volume, product mix and profitability for all relevant Business Units.
  • Manage the account wiring such that we have the right people engaged in productive relationships across our customers and our businesses/functions, to avoid duplication
  • Drive the development and implementation of new product launch plans within the account to deliver sales in line with our Product Leadership objectives.
  • Facilitate the exchange of information between customers, sales teams and other departments so that up to date information is available to all parties and a serviceable balance of supply and demand is maintained.
  • Identify and develop key relationships within the account to develop high levels of customer intimacy and insight.
  • Adopt a balanced Construction Products approach to account management to: develop and implement our overall account strategy/plan, aligned with stakeholders internally and externally; priorities agreed; required resource clearly defined and confirmed as available.

We are seeking a candidate that has a minimum matric and Bachelor of Commerce Degree and at least five years of experience in key account management. The candidate must have strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience in developing account plans and driving business growth. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis is essential, it would be advantageous should the candidate have SAP experience. The role also requires commercial awareness and the ability to travel nationally.
