This VIE will contribute to the effective operation of the sodium iodide crystal growth. This process is used in manufacturing facilities in both the US and France. The VIE will be able to use the skills gained in the US to make a positive impact in our French facilities

The Chemical Process Engineer VIE is customer driven and aligned with other members of the facility to deliver above expectations. They are fully engaged in the continuous improvement of the sodium iodide manufacturing processes, acting as a process chemistry knowledge expert and driving innovation within the team through lean methodology and capital expenditure projects.  The Process Engineer is responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities in conjunction with the manufacturing team, solving any problems that arise, and sustaining the gains.  The Process Engineer partners with the Production Operators and Supervisors to develop teams, implement and monitor processes for the Purification and Growth departments.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the state of the science concerning chemistry and chemical engineering process used in manufacturing process of sodium iodide,
  • Develop innovative ideas to positively impact key performance indicators for the operation,
  • Analyze processes and implement action plans supported by documentation and data,
  • Drive continuous improvement and enhance teamwork through the application of lean tools and methodologies,
  • Participate in meetings to establish goals and priorities, improve alignment, and utilization of resources.


  • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or similar,
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment,
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Methodologies (Six Sigma, WCM, etc.),
  • Curiosity, flexibility and openness,
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • Basics in project management.
