Lead Operator - 2nd Shift

The Lead Chemical Operator is responsible for the safe manufacturing process while assisting management in supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture specialty chemicals as well as other related activities including but not limited to; all production requirements, laboratory functions, shipping /receiving functions, warehousing, EHS activities throughout the facility as assigned by the Plant Manager or designee including. The safe operation of Fork Trucks, manufacturing of chemical batches, filling and or emptying of totes, loading/unloading rail cars, tanker trucks, van and or intermodal trailer.


Second shift hours: 2:30pm  - 10:30pm

Minimum Requirements 
· High School Diploma or accredited GED
· Forklift Certification
· 3+ years of manufacturing experience
· Computer and Microsoft application proficient
· 2+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
· 2+ years of mechanical experience 
· Applicants must have strong reading, math, and technical skills. 
· Must have the ability to perform various processes and operate equipment in a dynamic chemical manufacturing environment.  
· Applicant must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing. 
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to work in outdoor, ambient temperature conditions.
· Strong Commitment to EHS, quality, and customer service
Preferred Requirements: 
· Associate or bachelor's degree
· 5+ years experience in Chemical batching, transferring, and railcar/tanker loading/unloading.
· 5+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools at Greenbelt level
· Strong Commitment to EHS, quality, and customer service
· SAP Production Module experience

Provided is the pay rate for this position which is $27.25 per hour, plus Second shift differential of $0.75/hr. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to $750.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include: (Edit as needed for role)
· Shift Differentials - Hourly Rate plus 2nd Shift Differential of $0.75/ hr
· Standard Overtime (Hourly Rate * 1.5)
· Daily Overtime - hours worked over 8 hours in one day (Hourly Rate * 1.5)
· Sunday Overtime (Hourly Rate * 2)
This role may be covered by a Union. In the event of any discrepancy between this posting and the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the CBA shall govern.
