Job Overview

The Data Quality Lead is responsible for building, executing, and sustaining the data quality strategy for the EMEA region, with a strong focus on master data related to Business Partners (customers & vendors) and Materials across the full data ecosystem (PIM/MDG/S/4 for Materials and CRM/MDM/MDG/S/4 for Business Partners).

As a key contributor to the OXYGEN transformation program, migrating multiple ERPs into a single S/4HANA instance, the role ensures high data standards during migration and establishes the long‑term data quality foundations and operating model for the region.

This leader drives end‑to‑end data quality activities, from strategic governance to operational monitoring, and manages a team of data analysts to support both project and run‑mode operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Quality Strategy & Governance

- Develop and implement a comprehensive EMEA data quality strategy for master data.

- Collect, document, and enforce data management and harmonization rules.

- Define and maintain data quality KPIs and metrics.

- Contribute to data governance initiatives.

- Ensure data quality is aligned with Core standards

  1. Data Quality Assessment & Continuous Improvement

- Lead periodic data quality assessments across all EMEA countries and business units.

- Identify data inconsistencies intra and inter systems, structural issues, and root causes; formalize remediation plans.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Promote and coordinate country level data cleansing and enrichment efforts before, during, and after deployments.

  1. Data Migration Support

- Oversee data preparation activities: profiling, validation, correction, and readiness tracking.

- Define and document repeatable, industrialized correction‑load processes for migration waves.

- Drive post‑migration data audits and secure data consistency in the target S/4 instance.

  1. Monitoring, Tooling & Reporting

- Deploy, manage, and evolve EMEA data quality tooling, including:

  • Syniti DQ reports and rules
  • Collibra business rules and data governance assets
  • SAP MDG quality controls and derivations
  • PowerBI dashboards for DQ visibility (relying on Snowflake datalake)
  • Design and implement automated monitoring rules, alerts, and preventive controls.
  • Provide regular, actionable data quality reports for senior leadership and country teams.

  1. Team Management & Leadership

- Manage, coach, and develop a team of data analysts supporting DQ assessments, monitoring, and remediation.

-  Establish a scalable operating model for data quality management (central + regional contributions).

-  Promote a strong data culture and empower countries and business teams to adopt data quality best practices.
