We are seeking a reliable, hard-working Shipping & Receiving Lead to join our Hoosick Falls, NY team.

The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities. This role ensures the accurate and timely movement of materials while maintaining safety, quality, and inventory accuracy standards. The Lead provides day-to-day direction and training to warehouse team members, supports continuous improvement efforts, and serves as a key liaison between warehouse operations, production, customer service, and transportation providers.

  • Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure customer and production requirements are met.
  • Lead and support employees by assigning work, monitoring performance, and providing training and coaching.
  • Assist Materials Manager with annual reviews and disciplinary/corrective actions for Shipping & Receiving employees.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company requirements.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are accurately processed and documented within warehouse management and ERP systems.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and receiving issues.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, bills of lading, packing slips, and carrier paperwork.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and proper storage of materials.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Operate material handling equipment as required.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days/overtime as business dictates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory control.
  • Previous lead, coordinator, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working with common shipping carriers and transportation documentation.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management software.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, where certified and authorized.

Pay Transparency:

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The local pay range for this position is $28 - $36 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location/geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures.

Additional Pay Incentives for this Role Include: Standard Overtime (Hourly Rate * 1.5)
