Position description
The Assembly Line Operator will be expected to operate and maintain various types of manufacturing equipment/hand tools efficiently while complying with all safety, quality, and 5S/housekeeping standards.
- Operate production equipment to produce or process parts in accordance with safety requirements.
- Inspect parts as instructed to ensure conformance to quality requirements.
- Prepare any required documentation.
- Produce parts by following the work instructions.
- Inspect parts using measurement gauges such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparator.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; informing supervisors and team leads when machinery needs repairs; and adhering to all safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain assigned work areas in accordance with 5S and housekeeping requirements.
- Performs basic operation of equipment/machinery; inspect product and document results per work order/drawing requirements.
- Runs production safely and consistently measuring all critical areas per sample lot size.
- Utilize hand tools to deburr, de-gate, or polish and package all production in accordance with the router steps and stamps off operations before moving to the next operation.
- Maintains 5s work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift.
- Role may include other supporting tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Lead
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ year prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
- 1+ year of previous experience using inspection equipment and following quality procedures preferred
- Familiarity with basic manufacturing equipment such as calipers, thread gauges and compactors preferred
- Experience working in a strong safety culture preferred
Safety and Physical Demands:
- Physical demands include but are not limited to:
- constant visual inspection, measuring/assembly at close distance.
- Receiving detailed information by nonverbal means.
- Pushing pulling lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Working primary with fingers, repetitive motions, substantial movement the wrists, hands, and or fingers.
- Dealing with constant equipment in motion.
- Always wearing safety equipment, and dealing with high noise levels.

Hours are from 2:00PM-10:30PM
