Position description


Responsible for the safe and efficient handling of product to support production, packaging and order preparation in a barcoded environment.

Major Area/Function


  • Moves product/materials in a safe manner and notifies leadership immediately of any issues.



  • Enters shipping and receiving transactions utilizing IT tools following FIFO and safe handling processes.


  • Work with maintenance to ensure scheduled predictive maintenance will not negatively impact deliverables




  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 4+ year prior experience in manufacturing required. 
  • 2+ material handling required
  • 2+ automation (Tier 1 Supplier) preferred
  • Experience working in a strong safety culture preferred

Practical/Technical Knowledge:

  • Forklift license required
  • Good communication skills
  • Lean manufacturing/WCM methodology preferred
  • SAP knowledge preferred

Additional description

Nature of Scope:  

  • Will safely operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed to move material between semi trucks, warehouse and the assembly line. 
  • Ensures all materials are labeled properly and will safely pack qualtiy products to ensure they are delivered on time to the customer. 
  • Will keep track of orders and dispatch shipments to mee the customer milk runs.
  • Manages all materials to a FIFO method. 
  • Maintains the work environment in a safe manner and ensures it meets all 5S standards
