Position description
Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining process equipment throughout the plant, building and grounds maintenance, along with general maintenance related tasks. This position will be required to work in a team and/or independently. The Maintenance Technician will work with management, closely with production operators to identify/solution problem(s), attend training classes as defined by management, and other responsibilities as defined by the Maintenance Manager.
Required to work an 8hr off shift schedule (10p - 6:30a).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Perform and maintain equipment by following the Preventive Maintenance program
- Perform equipment maintenance on all unscheduled work in a safe and timely manner to reduce operational downtime
- Perform scheduled maintenance by working closely with management and operators to support operational needs
- Assist outside contractors as needed and defined by management
- The employee will be required to follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures as defined by Saint-Gobain.
- Maintain the Waste Oil Containment Area to ensure that the waste is disposed of properly
Additional Requirements
- Must have completed an industrial maintenance trade school program, or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent experience
- Industrial Electrical experience preferred
- Must have a good attitude and willingness to work
- Must be able to work 3rd shift (10p - 6:30a)
- Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Must have knowledge in all areas of maintenance (hydraulics, electrical, mechanical, and control systems)
- Must be able to work independently with some assistance as needed
- Must be proficient with basic computer skills
- Must have experience troubleshooting equipment
- Must be willing to learn and attend training classes as defined by Management
