Position description
The Reliability Maintenance Supervisor will direct the installation, modification, operation, and maintenance of all plant equipment. Incumbent will supervise the execution of these tasks though the efficient utilization of maintenance technicians, maintenance specialists, and outside vendors. The Reliability Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the development of the 6+ technicians ensuring they continually meet World Class standards of performance. Incumbent is responsible for the Reliability Pillar of the World Class Manufacturing System (WCM).
This role will also help design and implement various programs like Autonomous Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, EHS support, along with continuous improvement programs. This position will have the responsibility of developing projects, assist with writing capital requests, and managing all interacting organizations. This position will be responsible for the maintenance, reporting, and continuous improvement of all maintenance systems that support the WCM infrastructure; in particular, the Computerized Maintenance Management System. The supervisor will control spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies in order to fulfill operational goals and budget. This role's areas of responsibility encompass equipment, facilities and building maintenance, utilities, environmental control systems, power distribution systems, and the grounds maintenance; this also includes working closely with procurement on vendor/contractor management for the related areas as well as working with Health, Safety, and Environmental leadership on compliance management for the related areas.
Use multidisciplinary approach to solving problems, improving processes and managing projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Managing of Workforce
- Managing the maintenance department which includes technical specialists, and outside vendors to support operational needs
- Work with external engineering firms to design and construct buildings and processes
- Supervise and direct internal and contract personnel in the execution of projects
- Track KPIs and manage to meet project and business objectives
- Communicate as appropriate inside and outside the company
Plant Support
- Analysis data and trends from the plant CMMS system, including WCM reporting and KPI tracking
- Direct support of daily operations as needed in home plant with regard to all plant and process equipment
- Design of all extrusion dies and equipment
- Facility wide responsibility for risk management
- Design and implementation of projects and activities pertaining to plant infrastructure and utilities (electrical, water, access control, plant air, RO water…)
- Assist the maintenance group with high level troubleshooting of equipment and processes
- Recommends, modify or update equipment as needed to improve reliability and productivity
Custom Product Design
- Manage the spare part inventory including maintenance MRO purchasing
- Custom design products for the Tunnel Kiln and Rotary Kiln operations
- Develop new extrusion dies and equipment to manufacture new products and geometries
- Works with PC Plants, Worldwide, on Reliability solutions
Leadership and Workforce Management
- Manage the plant Preventive Maintenance program by modifying, creating, and ensuring completion
- Provides direction to remote sites on new equipment as part of project execution
Additional Requirements
- 3-5 years working as Reliability Maintenance technician, parts ordering or supervising a Maintenance dept
- 2-3 years maintenance supervisory experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or Materials) or related field preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven proficiency in maintenance processes
- Must possess a proficient working knowledge of team-based plant operations (i.e. coaching, staffing, creating work orders, shift hand offs, plant policy administration).
- Must be able to demonstrate superior leadership/managing skills, data analysis, situational leadership skills, and problem solving skills
- Experience in AutoCad (including 3D), Building and Industrial Codes required
- Experience in Industrial Automation (PLCs, HMI, SCADA) preferred
