Why do we need you ?
The Production Supervisor provides leadership and oversight of the assigned production crew to ensure they safely execute Saint Gobain standards, quality, service, and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) objectives consistently within the manufacturing department.
Will operate within established practices and precedents, with daily performance reviews conducted in collaboration with Value Stream Manager and members of the Plant Management staff. The position serves as the second level of management with a significant focus on policy governance, employee training, and training development.
The role requires frequent interaction with Value Stream Managers and coordination with internal departments such as Purchasing, Production and Inventory Control, and Maintenance. These collaborations support effective ordering of materials and supplies, maintenance scheduling, equipment repairs, and production planning. Forward thinking is critical to support planning and pivoting when flexibility is needed.
Safety, quality, service, and cost performance are the primary measures of success for this position. The Manufacturing Supervisor conducts regular team meetings and is accountable for technical training and competency development of facility personnel.
This role is actively engaged with fellow Supervisors and production teams to coach, mentor, and support the development and execution of action plans aimed at improving training effectiveness and operational efficiency. The Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring full compliance with all applicable governmental regulations and Saint-Gobain policies and standards. Detail oriented is required to manage documentation, timecards, and training SOPs.
Direct crew and/or "lead" people in establishing and maintaining schedules and priorities within established procedures and budgets. Assists subordinates in non-routine trouble-shooting and problem solving. Monitors established performance indicators including production, quality and safety reports.
While standard shift schedules are in place, the role requires flexibility to adjust hours, rotate shifts, or provide coverage as needed to support changing business demands and operational requirements.

Education and Skills Requirements
HS diploma or equivalent, two-year technical degree preferred.
3+ years of related work experience in production within a manufacturing environment; Required.
Experience as a Production Supervisor and/or leading teams, Preferred.
Must possess strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work in a team environment is essential.
Proven computer skills (Excel and Word) and demonstrate positive attitude.
Confidentiality is a must.
Experience with coated abrasives products, processes and systems; Preferred.
Must have excellent organization and verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working within a union environment; Preferred.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities with flexibility to support operations; Required.
The successful candidate will work in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to temperature changes, dust, odors, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical hazards. Required PPE includes safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and bump caps.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $81,500 to $126,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $89,650 to $139,150. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
