The Machine Operator is responsible for producing products on coating machines to customer specification and quality standards.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required of the Machine Operator:

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and best manufacturing practices
  • Setup routine products on coaters
  • Prepare all mixes that are made at coaters
  • Strike-off routine products on coaters
  • Perform basic off machine QA testing
  • Basic computer skills
  • Run / produce products on coaters
  • Identify all quality problems and troubleshoot routine issues on the coaters
  • Follow and complete all manufacturing orders, process folders, standard operating procedures and paperwork documentation
  • Perform all skills of a Utility operator
  • Overtime may be required
  • Housekeeping duties in specific work area and general plant
  • Other duties may be assigned per business needs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of high school degree or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 1 year related work experience required
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, job folders, and memos
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations and small groups
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to include conversions, weight measurements, volume, and distance
