This position inspects parts for conformance with engineering specifications and established quality standards. The purpose of this position is to support plant's manufacturing areas by conducting in-process, final, start-up, and incoming inspections. Responsible for ensuring that the products meet customer standards. Safe and successful operation of various measuring equipment (comparators, thickness gauges, rules, rheometer, and tensile tester) is required. Responsibilities: Ensure that items are being inspected in the appropriate order so that the customer requirements and shipments are met. Perform various inspection duties. Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations. Document inspection outcomes by completely detailed reports and performance records. Assist with work order management and tracking of production. Audit manufacturing processes. Inventory control and management of product. Provide directions to manufacturing operators on acceptability of product. Communicate with manufacturing, engineering, set-up, and other support groups for purpose of troubleshooting nonconforming product. Prepare and maintain accurate documents and reports as needed. Accurate documentation including QAD transactions. Accurately follow documented procedures. Accurate recording of information. Work in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. Other jobs assigned by supervisor.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Strong team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous Quality Control experience is preferred but not required
- Physical demands include walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling of objects, lifting and moving objects (weighing up to 40 lbs.)
- Able to push, pull, and lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis
The 5th Shift schedule runs for 12 Hours on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am – 10:30 pm, with a paid lunch plus two 8 hour shifts during the week on 2nd shift from 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
