Position description

Create 3D models and provide accurate detailed 2D drawings to customers on standard molded and mechanical assemblies using Solidworks and ePDM utilizing the basic library and Saint-Gobain Design standards.  Work under supervision of Application and Manufacturing Engineers on new customer drawings and requested changes on legacy drawings thru an ECN process.  

Promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 year technical degree preferred.
  • 2 years of work experience preferred.
  • AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience required.

Additional Requirements

  • Provide detailed product designs as required to customers, prints are to comply with Application Engineering print standards.  All prints to have complete tolerance scheme with customer and manufacturing specifications.  Maintain print log with revision levels for all customer prints.
  • Provide updated customer prints per request the request of the customer.  Prints to comply with Application Engineering print standards.   All prints to have complete tolerance scheme with customer and manufacturing specifications.  Maintain print log with revision levels for all customer prints.
  • Create and provide 3D prints to Application Engineers/or customer per request.
