Provides support to the Manufacturing programs at the Granville, NY location, within the defined World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework, in a manner consistent with Saint-Gobain EHS Policies and Principles of Conduct and Action.
Position could operate independently or as part of a 4-5 person team in the processing of PVC, polyethylene and urethane substrates.
All operations are dependent on the quality of the previous process and must adhere to all standards as part of the job. Depending on the process being performed, the end product could be either a finished product or require further processing.
Candidates are applying to be considered for any of the following off-shift positions (2nd and 3rd shift). New hire base rate of $18.16 with $.75 increase at 6 months. In addition, $1.00 shift premium for both 2nd and 3rd shift.
Coater Operator- Efficiently manufacturers PVC and urethane laminates, as welll as urethane materials. Operations include adhesive depositing, winding, laminating, back stripping, transferring adhesive, inspecting and unloading of processed materials.
Winding Operator- Efficiently processes orders for finished products, further down-line processing, or material salvage. Operations include re-winding, slitting, splicing, and packaging of a variety of products including PVC, urethane, and paper products, per production schedules and SOPs. Judgment is exercised in the selection of materials to be scrapped and/or reworked.
Finishing Operator- Efficiently slits a variety of materials into various widths and lengths, and packages and labels finished products to meet customer orders and for further in-house processing. Operations include slitting, rewinding, and packaging of a variety of products including PVC, urethane, and paper and polyethylene liners, per production schedules and SOPs. Since products are shipped directly from this department to the customer, attention to quality control is especially important.
All positions are required to work overtime as scheduled. This includes before/after shift or weekend shift.
High School diploma or equivalent- Required
Associates degree- Preferred
Relevant manufacturing work experience- Preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more- Required
Basic computer skills- Required
Well organized and able to operate independently or as member of team with minimal supervision- Required
Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical information, oral and written, in English- Required
Ability to work overtime- Required
