Position description

The Injection Molding Operator I will perform tasks associated with the production of molded Thermoplastic and Thermoset materials used in the Aerospace and Industrial markets. This position is responsible for independent set-up and operation of injection molding machines. The Injection Molding Operator I will run production orders safely while maintaining quality standards.

1st Shift Hours/Days - 6:30am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday

Essential functions include:

  • Ability to identify, solve and/or escalate complex problems as they arise within the Injection department
  • Demonstrate efficiency in operating all injection molding equipment with little to no supervision
  • Perform visual inspections and identify anomalies or deficiencies and work to identify issue
  • Ability to identify, solve and/or escalate complex problems as they arise within the Injection department
  • Follow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and operation of equipment
  • Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required
  • Conduct safety observations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities as required by our plant EHS program
  • Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles
  • Demonstrate basic blue print reading
  • Knowledge of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, etc.
  • Make quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, with minimal scrap, in a fast paced work environment.
  • Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Cell Lead
  • Follow Saint-Gobain principles of conduct and action, and exemplify the Saint-Gobain Attitudes



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months' experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 6+ months' experience working in Injection Molding or on related equipment is preferred
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in above ambient temperatures
  • Maintain high attendance standards
  • Ability to strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis
  • This position is subject to export controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  Qualified applicants for the position must meet the ITAR definition of “U.S. Person” at 22 C.F.R. 120.15 as a:  U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual (including for example refugees and asylees).

  • Finger/Grasp/Handle/Feel - Working primarily with fingers
  • Talk/Hear - Expressing or receiving detailed information by means of spoken word
  • Repetitive Motions - Substantial movement of wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Working in above ambient temperatures
