Packaging Clerk - 1st Shift

Position description

The Packaging Clerk is responsible for picking orders for shipping including all packaging requirements in accordance with site and customer specifications. This position must maintain accuracy and proper storage locations of finished and semi-finished products. 

Shift Days/Hours: Monday-Friday / 7:30am-4:00pm

Essential functions include:

  • Serving as a back-up to the receiving and packaging position
  • Packaging of products scheduled to be shipped
  • Responsible for the accuracy of finished goods and component inventories
  • Issue components to manufacturing personnel as needed and record the issues in the business system
  • Complete all paperwork correctly, accurately, legibly and honestly
  • Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles
  • Follow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required
  • All other duties as required


  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a shipping or packaging position is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to stand fand move around for long periods of time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain high attendance standards
  • Ability to strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work in above ambient temperatures
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Analytic and problem solving skills within an ERP system
  • This position is subject to export controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  Qualified applicants for the position must meet the ITAR definition of “U.S. Person” at 22 C.F.R. 120.15 as a:  U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual (including for example refugees and asylees).

  • Vision - Ability to view/see parts for visual inspection and measuring
  • Reading and Writing - Expressing or receiving detailed information by nonverbal means
  • Bend/Stoop/Kneel/Crouch - Requires use of the lower extremities and back muscles 
  • Standing/Walking - Particularly for sustained periods of time
  • Finger/Grasp/Handle/Feel - Working primarily with fingers
  • Talk/Hear - Expressing or receiving detailed information by means of spoken word
  • Repetitive Motions - Substantial movement of wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Working in above ambient temperatures
