Position description

The Senior Program Manager located in Ravenna, Ohio provides technical knowledge and leadership in Project Management to management and his/her area Program Manager peers. Focus is on the assigned product line and supporting the various markets it serves. The incumbent must understand the customer’s needs and requirements and have solid knowledge of markets and competitive situations. He/she/them must be technically proficient on project management, product application, technology, design and manufacturing process. The incumbent is challenged to assist in the scope development, SOW evaluation and execution through First Article, by developing and executing sound project management plans. He/she/them must also work internally to coordinate efforts across multiple functional departments to understand the cost drivers to reduce program costs (internal and external), reduce lead times and deliver new products to meet customer and market needs. The incumbent must be capable of managing large projects to introduce new products from the design/development phase through certification, first article qualification and final transition into production. The incumbent must also be capable of managing and leading projects to improve the efficiency of the business. These projects will be focused on areas such as improving the responsiveness to customers, reducing costs (either related to project methodologies or internal processes) and increasing the value to customers of company offerings. Innovation and the ability to drive change are critical to meeting the goals of these projects. While primary customer management will be handled by the Commercial Managers and Customer Service, the incumbent will be an important link in the supporting customer needs and be a direct resource during the project and assume primary contact status for all aspects of assigned projects. This includes coordination of internal efforts to ensure timely response, working with external input to translate customer needs into new products and troubleshooting issues that impact successful delivery of goals. Support for development of strategic planning, process improvement, and technical documentation is also required. He/she/them must develop analytical information, reports, visual management tools and strategic matrices to support the program plans. This information will be managed and made available to ensure program outcomes contribute profitable grow to the business, as well as support the business in developing sales forecasts, operational assessments and improvement opportunities, and other purposes strategic planning efforts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in technical, engineering or business - MBA or equivalent is preferred - 7+ years' Project/Program Management experience - 7+ years' experience supporting technical products - 5+ years' of demonstrated leadership experience - 1+ years' of experience working in Aerospace, Medical or another highly regulated industry with strict requirements - PMP Certification is preferred - FAA Regulation knowledge and certifications are preferred - Proposal development and contract review experience is preferred - Statistical analysis/financial analytics experience
