Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, assisted by the Shift Lead, the Mold Attendant I is responsible for the inspection, packaging, and handling of product coming from their assigned machines. This includes identifying and separating defects, ensuring packaging is erected and that the product is packed according to work instructions or other documentation. They are also responsible for 5S of the production floor and production documentation as required.

20% Quality
Be able to understand and communicate what a good quality part is • Abide by all ISO 9001 and 14001 procedures • Ensure that product packaging specification are followed • Perform basic visual quality checks
60% Production
Be able to detect burns, color streaks, short shots, gas marks and flash and communicate this to proper people • Watch and notify appropriate personnel of any defects in parts. Also watch UPC, labels and boxes • CIL (clean, inspect, lube) for accessory and collaborative robots. • Grind bad parts in appropriate grinder. • Know and recognize common materials • Inspects, delegates, trims, sorts, counts, weight, and packages parts. • Be trained on appropriate work instructions to operate secondary equipment • Can locate and comprehend work instructions to ensure proper boxes, labels, and pallet count • Learn proper boxing techniques to insure parts are boxed properly • Ensure that good parts are not placed in regrind • Initials will be written or stamped on all boxes
