Position description


To maintain, clean and stage roto mold tooling to support the molding department.  Fill out all cleaning tags and logs to track tooling history and maintenance.  Perform complete maintenance and repair of roto mold tooling.



  • Safely clean and repair roto mold tooling.
  • Perform tooling preventative maintenance, track, record and update tasks.
  • Maintain existing tooling utilizing basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Extensive maintenance and repair of tooling using metal working tools, blending tools and equipment.
  • Replace worn and damaged parts such as clamps, teflon blocks and adjustment bolts and shielding.
  • Troubleshoot roto mold tooling.  Assist operators in troubleshooting molds.
  • Train new operators on the basics of mold maintenance and changeovers.
  • Performing STOP safety audits.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.



  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Welding experience is necessary.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is required.  Some type of mechanical experience is required – industrial mechanical experience is preferred.
  • Able to identify problems, determine causes, identify solutions, verify that the solution has eliminated the problem, and follow up.  Recognize recurring problems and work to eliminate them.  Use continuous improvement principles to improve our safety, quality, service, and efficiency. 
  • Knowledge of calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools is required.
  • 3 years related experience preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds individually, higher with partner.
  • Must have forklift certification and be able to drive a forklift.



  • Must have a safety first mindset
  • Good understanding of basic math and able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers both verbally and in writing. Understands basic principles of mechanics, electrical, and machining.
  • Must be able to work overtime with little or no notice. 
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and housekeeping.
  • Must have a positive attitude and a good working relationship with other employees.
  • Wear required PPE.
  • Follow all Company Policies.
  • Job functions will require standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, and clasping in hands during workday.
