Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Why do we need you ?

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting equipment and components for damage and wear, utilizing gauges, measuring devices, and experience to determine any necessary actions.

Shift: 1st, 7:00am-3:00pm

Essential Duties:

  • Repair, adjust, and modify power transmission equipment
  • Repair, adjust, or replace pumps and supporting equipment
  • Fabricate and repair industrial equipment, including welding framework for repairs
  • Use general shop and hand tools as necessary
  • Assist line mechanics and electricians as necessary when needed to support production, including all of the above-listed tasks and other means of support as needed
  • Respond to unexpected after hour call outs for repair and support
  • Must be forklift and golf card certified
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards
  • Maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams
  • Follow all safety training and documents for this site.
  • Ensure optimum operations of equipment by reporting needed maintenance
  • Report any and all quality-related issues to the Supervisor
  • Work with maintenance in finding issues with the machine(s)
  • Meet the department’s key objectives
  • Participate in Company's Safety program
  • Must understand and follow job specific SOP’s
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned consistent with the non-exempt functions.

Is this job for you ?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, measuring devices, and industrial machinery.
  • Any appropriate combination of academic and work experience.
  • Must complete the associated four-week training program(s)
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions in English.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
  • Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training/qualification evaluation record as a Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
  • Hand-eye coordination.
