Operator B - APEX

Position description

What’s the Job? As a member of the team, the main role of the Operator B is to support Operator A and all operations related to the production operations at the site. This position will support in other areas in the plant directly reporting into the Site Manager.  Follows all company and OSHA safety policies, procedures, and programs; is responsible for individual safety and the safety of others.  Operates all necessary equipment related to production staging, and observe/operate heavy equipment  Ability to operate a forklift and water truck. Performs inspections on mobile equipment.  Unloads and Loads finished products and raw materials from trucks throughout shift.  Operates water truck throughout the day for dust control.  Responsible for cycle counts of raw and finished good on a weekly/monthly basis.  Responsible to confirm truck weight is within legal weight limits and make adjustments if not.  Removes finished product from the production line and shrink-wraps each pallet with the appropriate bag then adds labels, lot codes, and etc. then stacks in warehouse or yard area.  Supplies the production line with pallets, bags and wrapping material to complete production process.  Assists shipping and receiving by checking in and out trucks in the system (SAP) as necessary.  Inspects raw materials prior to changeovers to ensure correct inventories for production runs. Returns raw materials after completion of production runs, if needed.  Provide production support by wrapping pallets and ability to use a forklift to move product to the correct storage locations  Accountable for administration of operational processes for all production, forklift inspections, work orders, incident reports, reporting equipment defects and any other processes in the production operation.  Communicates with previous or incoming shift regarding any challenges and opportunities on the production lines to prepare for the shift.  Operates equipment, palletizer, packers, and/or drives a forklift, heavy equipment on site to assist with production operation etc.  Maintain a clean work area, fill hoppers for production with appropriate raw materials, use equipment to push out barney dumps, and back drag all truck pathways to make onsite roads are smooth.  Ability to hand-stack 50/40 lbs bags when needed for reworks or normal prod

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 High School/GED diploma  Previous experience in a manufacturing environment as an operator  Knowledge of plant manufacturing in an industrial maintenance experience in 24 hr continuous process environment.  Strong customer service focus, teaming and collaborative approach  Flexible and open-minded with good written and oral communication.
