Position description

SAGE is currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join the maintenance team. We are looking for individuals who have experience in a manufacturing facility with the ability to trouble shoot and repair modern state of the art equipment.  Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and work in a team environment.  Individuals must also have a high standard for safety and background in industrial equipment troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.

The schedule for this position is 6PM – 6AM, 12hr shifts, 4 days on 4 days off.  Weekend and some holidays will be required. This position also includes a 25% shift differential in addition to base pay.  Starting pay depends on level of experience and electrical license currently held.



  • Perform all job requirements in a safe manner and adhere to all SAGE safety rules and policies.  Attend necessary safety and environmental training as scheduled.  Support and recommend safety & environmental improvements and identify hazards.
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and improvements to increase equipment uptime. Voltages are: 480vac, 208vac, 120vac, 24vdc, 12vdc.
  • PLC experience from troubleshooting to writing ladder logic a plus.
  • Perform various levels of Electrical Work including bending emt, pulling wire and cable, low-voltage cameras.
  • Perform electrical maintenance-PMs of all plant equipment, including using infrared camera for hot spot detection.
  • Perform, Audit and Verify LOTO-Tag Out (TO) Procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CMMS with regard to inspections and preventative/predictive maintenance and inventory of spare parts, and consumables.
  • View and interpret North American and European electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and vacuum system drawings and schematics.
  • Maintain paper and electronic files of equipment manuals, schematics, and other documentation.
  • Ability to foster a productive positive attitude and work as a team in an urgent environment.
  • Must be safety conscious and abide by all workplace policies and procedures.
  • Independently motivated to produce results.

  • Perform other tasks as required to support production of SageGlass. Perform all other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Excellent troubleshooting & repair skills

  • Knowledge and experience with Equipment Lock Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), as well as Arc Flash.

  • Hands on experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance.

  • Hands on experience with mechanical maintenance and PM’s, as well as able to work from heights.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Good teamwork skills.

  • 2 yr. Associate's degree or diploma in Engineering, Technology, Technical Discipline or Electrician

  • Must be registered as an Unlicensed Individual Electrician for a minimum of 1 year in the state of MN.

  • Current Journeyman’s or Masters license a plus.

  • If individuals possess past Military experience, a DD214 is required.
