Position description
SageGlass®, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, located in Faribault, MN, produces electronically tintable glass for windows, skylights, and curtain walls. It tints automatically or on demand to control sunlight, without shades or blinds. SageGlass transforms the indoor experience by controlling sunlight to optimize daylight, outdoor views and comfort while preventing glare, fading and overheating without the need for blinds or shades.

We are hiring a Process Engineer to work alongside our talented Engineering Team!
What’s the job?
The Process Engineer will be experienced and ready to take ownership of one of our process blocks, including responsibility for the performance, uptime and optimization of glass processing and transport equipment. The position is on-site, and the candidate will be primarily working on the first shift, but also be required to work after hours or weekends as necessary.
Essential Functions:
- Ensuring equipment performance is within specification and in control during operation
- Lead troubleshooting efforts as issues arise; at times as part of a cross functional team
- Optimization of process yield and uptime
- Continuous improvement of control plans and operating procedures
- Monitoring of process parameters and completion of SPC charts
- Understand process capabilities through critical data analysis and in depth understanding of the product
- Coordination of preventative maintenance activities including documentation, training and spare parts requirements
- Leading safety initiatives in their process area
- Statistical analysis of data to drive process improvements
- Improvement of standard work and maintenance instructions
- Training of operators and maintenance technicians
- Planning and execution of future improvements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
What do you bring?
- Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, or related engineer field is required
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing required
- Strong analytical and statistical background
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
- Works well under pressure and is a creative thinker
- Flexible, can-do attitude
- Self-Motivator and willing to learn
