What’s the job?

We are NOW hiring a Project Specialist to join our Field Operations Team! For the right candidate, this position will be 100% remote.

Our Project Specialist will work as part of the Field Operations team at SAGE’s corporate headquarters located in Faribault, Minnesota. The right candidate will actively participate in and support a broad range of SageGlass project activities spanning a variety of disciplines with a technical emphasis on electrochromic architectural glass and glazing systems and control system engineering.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Commissions projects via remote access and at the construction site, including the electronic controls. Provides field service for projects including troubleshooting and repairs
  • Develops project specific system level wiring diagrams for the SageGlass control system
  • Competently illustrate and explain SAGE’s controls and wiring system Face-to-face and over the telephone
  • Capably explain the installation or troubleshooting process to glazing contractors, electricians and others in an easy to understand manner
  • Validate system specifications against design constraints (electrical power, glass size and shape)
  • Through various electronic and handwritten means “mark–up” or create documents that communicate the Sage Glass control system, the zoning, and location of components for a specific project.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ability to climb and work off of ladders, scaffolds, etc. as well as being willing to be transported in various lifts, swing stages, and other aerial equipment to various heights on construction sites with or without an accommodation
  • Physically capable of lifting 30 pounds
  • Ability to travel overnight primarily to North American and occasional destinations overseas, which could exceed one week at a time
  • Travel: Up to 30%

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

What do you bring?

  • Associates Degree in a technical/electrical field preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (telephone and in person) and ability to interact successfully with all types of people regardless of education or stature
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing their work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Extreme attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Expert customer service skills
  • Proficient in or be capable of becoming proficient in the interpretation of Architectural, Electrical and Mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and be capable of becoming proficient in the use of other software and business systems
  • Experience in technical customer service, construction project management or similar experience is a plus, preferably in the glass, façade, or electrical / electronic industries
  • LEED AP preferred, LEED Green Associate desired or the ability to obtain
  • Valid driver's licence required
