Position description
Sales Representatives of Saint-Gobain Abrasives sell a variety of products such as bonded, super and coated abrasives through various market channels for application in many industries. Upon graduation from our 23-week Sales Training Program, the Sales Representative becomes the primary resource for customers and distributors. The training program expands upon basic product and marketing concepts, basic selling communication skills, knowledge of industry management practices, and knowledge of the company’s promotional programs and literature materials. Sales trainees will learn to apply their product knowledge to solve complex customer problems and their selling skills to establish and grow accounts. Saint-Gobain provides its sales representatives the resources of the world leader in abrasives, an excellent compensation package, the best training in the industry, a territory with potential, an automobile, and all the tools necessary to succeed. The rest is up to you.
Graduates of the Sales Training Program are assigned a sales territory that will vary in size. There is an established career path that offers significant promotional opportunity for those individuals who excel.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Interested candidates should have a BS in an Engineering discipline or in Business/Marketing or commensurate experience. Candidates should have some degree of mechanical aptitude and a desire to work in a variety of challenging manufacturing environments or within other channels such as Automotive Aftermarket (AA) or DIY (Do It Yourself). Candidates must also possess a strong work ethic, high degree of self-discipline, self-motivation, good social skills and enthusiasm. Flexibility and willingness to relocate to open territories within the United States is required.
We are ideally seeking December, 2019 and May, 2020 graduate candidates for the below classes:
CLASS #1 – Starts in January, 2020 (exact date TBD)
CLASS #2 – Starts in June, 2020 (exact date TBD)
Additional Requirements
This is an outstanding opportunity in professional sales with the industry leader in technical, industrial abrasives. Strong compensation package includes a professional salary, bonus plan, fully paid company vehicle, iPad, laptop and home office. Company paid relocation to an established Sales Territory after completion of sales training.
