Business Development Manager - Fixings & Slip Clutches

Position description

As a Business Development Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for identifying, participating and capturing projects associated with the business cluster and harness all appropriate resources in order to achieve these objectives.  This position will interface and liaise with local sales, engineers, and customers within the worldwide area of responsibility.  The incumbent will provide insight and engineering support to internal/external base and focus on sales growth, gross margin, and new project opportunities within the automotive sector.

This role  generate leads and help convert to opportunities within Fixings and Slip Clutch product family for the US region for Horizon 2.   You would be highly visible (be the public face of the product family) on social media, conferences, trade shows and at customers, to build credibility and networks within the industry. 

Convince new and existing customers to collaborate on new opportunities using our new technologies or applications and drive the growth of newly released products in the early stage of the product lifecycle curve.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business required  - Master's preferred.
  • 5-10 years of business development experience in a high tech / value driven company 
  • 5-10 years experience in technical sales

Additional Requirements

Other requirements:

  • Able to translate technical information into persuasive arguments
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport
  • Have tenacity and proactive attitude
  • Understanding of the automotive industry, way of working and trends is preferred.
