This position is responsible for contacting, calling on and developing incremental business opportunities with key national accounts in the hardware, home improvement or mass merchant channels by selling value and innovative solutions.
The National Account Manager, Hardware will conduct regular revenue and pipeline forecasting for assigned accounts and prospect base and prepare a yearly business review for presentation to buyers and senior management personnel with the SG ADFORS Sales Director. The incumbent will communicate to management the development and implementation, as well as the control and performance of marketing plans and actions on assigned accounts.
Developing and achieving marketplace initiatives and promotions that build brand development and maximize brand performance are another key aspect of the role. The incumbent will also remain alert for competitive pricing, products, applications, and programs in the market, and develop ways to use that knowledge to promote sales.
Cultivating customer intimacy is a top priority for Saint-Gobain ADFORS, and the National Account Manager, Hardware will manage and assist all aspects of service to the customer including, fill rates, on time delivery, and any payment deduction issues, while building relationships and resolving any issues at hand.
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or similar with at least ten (10) years of experience in a with hardware, big box, and national type sales accounts. Experience working with manufacturing representatives is a plus. The incumbent must be results-oriented, have strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills, and have a demonstrated capability to manage projects and relationships. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and other CRM systems is vital. The ability to travel 50% of the time is required.
This position can be located in any of the following Midwest states: Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana.
