VIE Electrochromic R&D engineer (M/W) (H/F)

Position description

In this role you will be part of a team of international engineers and scientists developing a novel sputter-coated electrochromic glazing product. Guided by your manager and supported by the R&D and production teams, you will design, execute, and evaluate qualification trials for the new product on the High Volume Manufacturing line. The new coating is expected to increase market share and serve as a platform enabling the next generation of new electrochromic glazing products.

Your tasks :

1. Support core R&D projects through hands-on experiments and characterization, data analysis and project management

2. Design, schedule and follow the execution of experiments on pilot and production lines

4. Record and analyse the results, report them in reports and presentations to the R&D team

5. Participate in basic group responsibilities like lab maintenance and organization, and improvements of processing and characterization equipment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies we are looking for:

You earned a master’s degree in materials science, chemical or electrical engineering or applied physics.

You have very good written and spoken skills in  English.

Dotted with a creative problem-solving mindset and a hands-on approach, you are detail-orientated and you possess the ability to work safely and effectively with a diverse scientific R&D team.

You are well organized, keep your work constantly documented, and you are able to analyze data and write reports in a clear way.

Experience with thin film processing, device simulations, or electrochemistry would be preferred but not required.
