Monday Thru Friday.
The Lab Supervisor - Thermal Processing will join the Process Technology Team to operate and maintain a world-class thermal process lab that supports the growing needs of internal customers and innovation programs. This role is responsible for day-to-day lab operations, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement of thermal processing capabilities in an R&D environment. The position also plays an important role in upgrading lab systems, supporting center-wide renovation efforts, and helping build a center of excellence for high-temperature thermal processing tools.Key Responsibilities
· Operate, support, and improve thermal processing equipment and process know-how, ensuring safe and reliable high-temperature furnace operations.
· Advise lab users and internal customers on technical approaches to achieve successful thermal processing experiments.
· Partner with business unit colleagues to implement process improvements that increase yield and quality, including improvements to crucible and mold design, barriers, and related materials interactions.
· Train users on equipment operation, run quality expectations, and lab safety procedures.
· Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides to maximize equipment uptime and performance.
· Diagnose and resolve a broad range of equipment and process issues with sound technical judgment and creativity.
· Support internal partners in the development of new test methods and expanded equipment capabilities.
· Help modernize lab systems by supporting upgrades from analog outputs to digital data acquisition, factory network connections, and data storage platforms.
· Manage sample flow, monitor lab backlog, interpret results, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
· Collaborate across business units, including with colleagues who may be less familiar with thermal processing, to promote best practices and strong operating discipline.

Qualifications
· Associates degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years of experience; or a non-technical bachelor's degree and 10+ years of equivalent experience; or a combination of education and experience - required
· Comfort working cross-functionally with technical teams, business partners, and lab users - required
· Demonstrated basic knowledge in HSE and understanding of safety/failure analysis and risk assessments - required
· Experience operating, maintaining, and improving thermal processing or high-temperature lab equipment - highly preferred.
· Ability to apply manufacturing and operational discipline within an R&D or pilot-scale environment - preferred
· Strong troubleshooting (electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and systems) problem-solving skills related to equipment, process performance, and lab operations - preferred
· Experience developing training materials, maintenance plans, and standard operating practices - preferred
· Ability to manage capital projects that require coordinating multiple vendors and internal systems - preferred
· Ability to communicate technical concepts and results clearly to a range of internal stakeholders - preferred

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $64,500 to $97,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 8% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $69,600 to $105,300. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
