Senior Research Engineer - Evidence & Testing Leader

This new position is focused on leading various elements of evidence and testing related to new product development, benchmarking/competitive analyses, and customer-specific application tests.

The four key roles and responsibilities of this position are as follows:

1. manage the test lab modernization/roadmap for E&T (e.g. capabilities, LIMS, space)/new capex,

2. provide experimental testing guidance and data analysis (requires an understanding of statistics and design of experiments),

3. leadership in key testing capabilities

4. customer engagement (interactions/reporting).

All of the above responsibilities should be grounded in maintaining and improving safety, efficiency, and aesthetics, while delivering world class support. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Material Science
  • 5+ year's experience with hands-on laboratory testing and management
  • 5+ year's experience in project management
  • 5+ year's experience with customer interactions
  • Driver's License

Additional Requirements

PREFERRED:

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Material Science
  • Master's in a business field (MBA or similar)
  • Knowledge of/experience with polymer chemistry, polymeric materials, polymer processing and testing
  • Familiar w/peristaltic, diaphragm or other pump types
  • Experience in general statistical analyses and statistical experimental design, e.g. DOEs
  • Experience with Minitab, Jump, LIMS
