Fleet Operations Analyst - Materials Handling and Heavy-Duty Equipment Programs

Why do we need you ?

The Fleet Operations Analyst supports Saint-Gobain North America's Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) and Heavy-Duty Equipment (HDE) programs across plants, distribution centers, warehouses, and mines throughout North America. Will be responsible for day-to-day program execution, reporting, compliance, and data integrity activities that support the acquisition, leasing, maintenance, and lifecycle management of mobile equipment.

Partners closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, lessor banks, and fleet management providers to manage maintenance agreements, review bids and pricing compliance, support capital submissions, monitor database accuracy, and deliver KPI and business intelligence reporting that informs replacement planning, fleet optimization, and budget control.

Serves as a key point of contact for business stakeholders, helping coordinate invoices, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders related to leases, maintenance, and other fleet services while supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance team processes, reporting, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead day-to-day administration, reporting, and compliance activities for Saint-Gobain North America's MHE and HDE programs.
· Support equipment acquisition, leasing, maintenance, spare parts, lifecycle planning, and end-of-life disposition activities.
· Review supplier quotations for compliance with negotiated pricing and program terms, follow up on open quotes, and compare competitive bids.
· Benchmark proposals against current spending, quantify potential savings, and develop recommendations for business stakeholders and leadership review.
· Prepare results for presentation, document process improvement opportunities, and support order placement once approvals are secured.
· Coordinate lease and maintenance contract execution with sites, business unit leadership, and suppliers upon equipment delivery.
· Manage equipment disposition activities for assets being replaced or no longer required, including returns, resale coordination, and return-versus-sale analysis.
· Maintain governance of the fleet and equipment database to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
· Coordinate data corrections with third-party fleet management providers and confirm contracts and supporting documentation are properly maintained.
· Monitor supplier compliance in support of Saint-Gobain's CSR expectations.
· Provide user support and dashboard training to site stakeholders as needed.
· Prepare and distribute recurring operational and financial reports, including equipment spend, utilization, lease liability, and budget forecast reporting.
· Support stakeholder communication and program engagement by publishing quarterly fleet newsletters and maintaining relevant internal program content.

Is this job for you ?

·    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field required.
· Master's degree, MBA, or advanced study in Supply Chain or a related field preferred.
· 3+ years of experience in fleet management, procurement, operations, or an analytical role required.


· Strong understanding of equipment specifications and applications, with the ability to make sound recommendations to business stakeholders.
· Strong data analysis skills and experience using KPIs and reporting to support business decisions.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI preferred.
· Experience using AI tools to support analytics and process efficiency preferred.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
· Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
· Professional certifications such as NAFA, AFLA, or PMP are preferred.
