Position description

The Procurement Analyst will work as a dynamic contributor to the Insulation group to manage production fulfillment for packaging categories, data analysis, cost savings projects and reporting activities. This position will work with CertainTeed Insulation Purchasing department in support of strategy development by compiling critical business information to translate into optimal business decisions in a comprehensive format. The analyst will draw inferences from the analysis in development of a sourcing strategy, evaluation of supplier negotiations, and related project work. 

The Procurement Analyst will develop, maintain, and distribute monthly reports based on external and internal stakeholder data, highlighting agreed upon KPIs and market indicators; support RFP activities; maintain packaging fulfillment for production demand; and support the purchasing function in the procurement of goods and services, and supplier selection.  The role will also be responsible for identifying and establishing best practices to use across the CertainTeed Insulation Purchasing department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

50%
Manage material planning, supplier relationship and Logistics collaboration for production demand fulfillment for packaging categories.  Develop and participate in innovative projects with cross-functional stakeholders to further category performance and continuous improvement initiatives across the business. 

25%
Execute the purchasing strategy with coordination of raw material development, cost savings and supplier development projects.  Support category RFP activities and negotiations for assigned categories.   

15%
Identify and implement best practices within the Insulatoin Business Unit with regard to processes, sourcing, documentation, KPI’s, etc. 

10%
Develop and maintain monthly KPI reports for CertainTeed Insulation Purchasing department; collect and manage data from external (suppliers) resources as well as internal (purchasing managers and business ERP systems) resources.  Maintain market information / indices for raw materials.  

The role lies within a complex organization with collaboration required with our global purchasing organization based in Paris, France. The ability to work in a cross-functional team is critical, as this role will support internal stakeholders/customers to meet the need of the business while aligning activity with national/global purchasing goals and objectives and managing the raw material supply chain/supplier capabilities in order to meet production needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Bachelor of Science  (a focus in Supply Chain, Analytics or Industrial Engineering preferred)
  • 3 – 5 years of experience.
