Position description

The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible to effectively plan, develop, and execute the marketing and communications strategy for the Catalytic Products and Process Ceramic businesses including but not restricted to online marketing, social media initiatives, e-marketing and e-commerce across various medias as well as all written materials. The Marketing and Communications Manager will work customers and operational teams serving as an effective link between the business, the Corporate/Sector Digital IT centers of competence, and the wider Digital community across Saint-Gobain. The candidate must demonstrate mastery in complex IT/Digital tools and methods, while being a proven people networker, with entrepreneurial drive, sense of initiative, creativity, sound business judgment and excellent listening skills.

The Marketing and Communications Manager will demonstrate a successful track record of delivering complex and innovative marketing solutions.  This role will assess and recommend new technologies, partnerships and processes to accelerate our customer relationships, brand, business growth and enhanced customer journeys and in the end, drive towards growth goals for traffic, engagement, optimal end-user experience, measurable results and lead creation.

  • Act as a subject matter expert to facilitate achievement of business objectives
  • Manage the development and implementation of business communications and strategic digital marketing plans
  • Oversee the development, launch and maintenance of business websites and digital tactics to drive awareness, engage prospects and convert to sales
  • Select and manage agencies and vendors to build and evolve the digital plan, creative and content
  • Provide leadership and support to align digital approach to campaign and tactical goals
  • Identify, track and make recommendations regarding trends and gaps in our customers’ digital journey

Profile description

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 years with progressive experience in communications and mareketing strategy including digital media
  • 2 years experience in creating high impact B2B engagement strategies across multiple platforms
  • 2 years working knowledge of Salesforce and developing content through social media outlets highly preferred
  • Google Analytics and AdWords experience preferred
  • Entrepreneurial and strategic mindset with strong results orientation; a strategic thinker – able to see the ‘big picture’ and direct activity towards it
  • Responsible budget management and financial acumen
  • Multi-channel digital strategy, personalization, and knowledge of current and emerging digital platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication capacity, communication and presentation skills; poised, confident and articulate
  • Ability to lead conversations at a high level with customers and senior leaders inside and outside of the company
