SAGE Electrochromics, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Electronics Technician as a contributor to the product development group at SAGE Electrochromics, working closely with a group of electrical, mechanical and software engineers to design and support control systems for electrochromic glass.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide general project support.
  • Assist in the development of test plans for electrical and mechanical products.
  • Execute and document hardware, software and mechanical testing for new products.
  • Build prototypes from rough sketches or plans.
  • Analyze the electrical performance of prototypes.
  • Design and build basic electronic circuits used for internal test equipment.
  • Provide support to the control panel manufacturing line.
  • Manage and maintain lab space.
  • Investigate and resolve open RMAs.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two-year degree in electronics or similar
  • Minimum of five years of directly relatable experience working as an electronic technician within a new product development group
  • Experience using electronic test equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes
  • Fine-pitch soldering skills
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills down to the circuit board component level
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to assess and solve technical problems.  Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Desire to learn and apply new concepts quickly
  • Flexibility and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
  • Comfortable working in a lab environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with using a computer/technology, including Microsoft Office suite.
