Position Summary:
Saint-Gobain North America, a global leader in sustainability, is looking for an Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability Coordinator to join their Shared Services Environmental, Health, Safety, & Sustainability (EHS&S) Department team in Malvern, PA. The EHS&S Coordinator provides substantial technical analytical support to the EHS&S Department. The coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day analytical work, data management, and budget control. This person tracks various activities for the group to ensure that timely reporting and improvement initiatives are monitored/reported and that accountabilities by the department are maintained.

The EHS&S Coordinator serves an important role coordinating and providing data for a diversified company. Duties include analytical data management and project based work. The work environment is highly interactive. High levels of technical database and communication skills are necessary. This person must familiarize, and become knowledgeable regarding Company policies, procedures and guidelines.  They will interact extensively with individuals at all levels throughout the company in the U.S. and Europe regarding various issues.


  • GAIA EHS&S Data Management Tool
    • North America Local Administrator and analyst for the EHS&S reporting system, GAIA, including management of GAIA directory, analysis and generation of EHS&S reports, and auditing EHS&S reporting database for accuracy.
    • Develop and present training for EHS&S database, user guides, and how to create reports.
    • Serve as the NA analyst responsible for interacting with and exchanging reports with Paris-based EHS&S analyst and global administrators.
    • Support the Sustainability Team during the Annual Environment campaign including communication, training, and data audits.
    • Analyze EHS&S data to determine eligibility for internal and external SGNA, CSG/Paris awards, such as Diamond, Emerald, and Ruby, including Millionaires Club.
  • Regulatory Database management
    • Review, update, and maintain numerous regulatory databases to track EHS inspections, Superfund and state clean-up sites, EHS agency NOVs/Citations, including OSHA and MSHA citation databases.
    • Work with the SG EHS Compliance Manager to coordinate and administer the SG ISA EHS auditing program.  This includes assisting in coordination of site auditors and managing the audit schedule.
  • North America EHS&S Portal
    • Manage, maintain, update, and organize information on NA EHS portal to ensure information is current and relevant for EHS&S site users, including training events, best practice, incident (safety) summaries, etc.
  • Contractor Management Program
    • Work with the EHS Contractor Management Program Manager to ensure contractors meet SG, federal, provincial, state and local prequalification requirements.
    • Administer the SGNA Contractor Management Program database.
  • Assist with managing the NA EHS&S Department budgeting and spending; processing invoices related to SSC programs.
  • Administrative support for EHS&S Department (minimal)
  • Manage office supplies and equipment via Agora
  • Support of various EHS&S-related project and initiatives throughout the year.
  • Provide oversight, communication and support of annual EHS project achievement award program, including North America EHS Project Awards nominees. Responsibilities include assistance on initial communications deployment, evaluation of project candidates, selection of nominees, assistance to business project leaders in application preparation, responding to questions from Paris based judges and communication to final winners and non-selected nominees.
  • Coordinate and organize Awards dinner and ceremony


  • BS in EHS topics or equivalent experience is required.
  • Microsoft Office User Certification, along with at least 3 years’ experience with Office is required, with Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint being the most important.
  • Strong communication and prioritization skills are required.
  • The ability to handle confidential information is required.
  • Prior experience with Environmental, Health & Safety is preferred, but not required, as is at least one year of experience with EHS management systems.
