The Sustainability Project Manager supports Life Science’s sustainability efforts by fostering collaboration and cooperation across internal departments and with relevant business partners. A primary responsibility of this role is to develop a robust process to enable Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) for all of Life Science’s products. Working with the Saint-Gobain’s central sustainability team, the Project Manager will develop LCAs, with tools and methodologies defined by the Saint-Gobain Group, to support the Life Sciences (LS) Marketing teams in response to organizational goals and customer requests. The Sustainability Project Manager will support the Life Science Group’s eco-innovation efforts with sustainability assessments while spreading knowledge and impacts of our sustainability efforts across the Life Sciences Group.
Life Cycle Analysis Practice and Tools
Establish LCA modeling and EPD capability to support needs across Life Sciences. Create efficient digitalized processes aligned with Saint Gobain Group methods in concert with the Life Science Business Teams. Keep up to date on developments in LCA Models, new LCA Tools.
The incumbent will mentor, develop, hire and train employees; incumbent sets goals, objectives and periodically evaluates performance throughout the year. He/she manages administrative functions for his/her direct reports.
Life Cycle Analysis Processing and Delivery
Work with the marketing department in each of the LS business units to establish priority for core LS products. Then ensure accurate and timely delivery of LCAs to business units.
The incumbent is an integral part of the Life Sciences R&D management team and BPS business management team. He or she will help set strategies for innovation and new technology and new product development utilizing R&D platforms and R&D operation principle of Saint-Gobain.
Support Eco-Innovation projects with LCA analysis together with marketing, R&D and operations. Work with Saint-Gobain’s central sustainability team to train Eco-Innovation project leaders on simplified LCA Tools.
Contribute to development of Sustainability roadmap providing calculations and CO2 footprint assessments. Report impact of Eco-innovation portfolio across Life Science.
Drive the Life Sciences Sustainability agenda as an integral member of the Sustainability Pillar team.
Bachelor’s Degree, Required. Area of Study within Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science or Related Field; Preferred.
•5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality, Engineering or Technical Function managing projects.
•1 years of experience in technical/engineering role with Sustainability accountabilities.

• Commit to addressing and reporting any unsafe condition or quality issue immediately.

quality issues arise and to not place blame while investigating these issues.
• Adhere to the principles of data integrity.
•25% travel, including visits to customers, plants and conferences.
•A valid driver's license is required.
