The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for the adherence to financial policies and ICRF controls, improving internal business processes to support Saint-Gobain Life Sciences' growth/profitability model.  In support/partnership with a Site Controller, the Sr. Financial Analyst will be a critical member of the site/plant leadership team.

The Sr. FA  provides analyses (financial & cost accounting) and recommendations to ensure the site is aligned to strategic objectives; and  proactive business support to the decision-making process of management on corrective actions/countermeasures, and enforcing ownership & accountability.

Areas of Accountability:

  • Coordinate with Global ex-PPL, QAD+ team and SSC the site closing schedule with Magnitude reporting and legal entity assumptions for:
    • Month-End Close
    • Reforecasts
    • Budget
  • Supporting the annual RF1/3 forecast, budget, plan process at the site, providing accurate explanations of significant variances, including analysis of actual vs. budget and/or forecast.
  • Month-end results/reporting with a keen eye on strategic planning to ensure the business is growing profitability. 
  • Facilitation of the month-end close to ensure alignment of the HPS/LS deadlines.  Prepare, approve general entries/reconciliations (as needed/required),
  • Assurance/Review of accuracy/integrity of the balance sheet (quality of working capital, changes in fixed assets, etc.).
  • Facilitation of annual standard cost development process for the site to ensure transparency of cost/margin.
  • Compliance with the processes outlined in the ICRF, IFRS, HPS/LS policies, and sound business practices.
  • Support of the annual completion of the ICRF gap analysis & ensure the execution of action plans, adherence - Segregation of Duties, system/access controls are in place. Evaluate site internal controls (review of HPS/LS policies, purchasing authorities, etc. to ensure alignment with internal controls along with the 6 essentials).  Assessing current accounting processes, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new innovative processes.
  • Support LS & Operations Controller with the AD HOC requests, annual plan, budget & standard cost development process.  Proactively researching issues – anticipating opportunities and providing answers & insight to key questions before they are asked. 
  • Support CI/WCM initiatives (participation in Kaizen’s, problem-solving events) ensuring countermeasures, projects are defined with clear financial objectives & results are tracked and reported accordingly.





Bachelor's Degree - in Accounting/Finance; Required.

Master's Degree - in Accounting/Finance; Preferred.


5+ years experience - working within various facets of accounting/finance within manufacturing environment (i.e. AP/AR, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Analysis); Required.
