VIE - Finance Specialist - H/F

Why do we need you ?

This is a very fast paced work environment that works as a team. Reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis are a monthly requirement. As a V.I.E, you will participate in the Fixed Asset management and reporting, as well as continuing to collaborate to improve the Internal Controls process by having systems and procedures in place to comply and meet all internal audit requirements.

Completion of the Gap Analysis & Segregation of Duties; including procedural updates per the ICRF. Acquire knowledge to drive the decision-making process of key financial metrics such as EBITDA and OPERATING FREE CASH FLOW performance of the business.

Main responsibilities:

  • Month end close (assist in timely & accurate general journal entries, and reconciliations with proper back up documentation),
  • Internal Financial reporting & analysis (perform variance analysis and recommend resolution(s), review inventory adjustments in ERP for accuracy/completeness and proper approvals per the authorization matrix, define & reduce scrap/overrun),
  • Support internal/external auditors,
  • Internal Control (ICRF) process (ensuring policies/procedures are in place and updated per the ICRF) & Segregation of Duties (perform evaluations and recommend action plan(s) to mitigate the company’s risk in associated areas),
  • Fixed Assets (learn the Capital Asset process; monitor the project budget, timely project closure, physical asset tagging & approval),
  • Physical count of the Fixed Assets (as well as participate in the annual physical inventory count).

This an 18-month mission, non-extendable.

Is this job for you ?

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance, with a focus on reconciliation & fixed assets,
  • Experience in manufacturing environment with a focus on cost accounting,
  • Solid verbal & written communication, analytical, systemic thinking & leadership skills,
  • Ability to multi-task,
  • Project management skills – execution oriented and rigorous in meeting performance commitments,
  • Strong fundamental “know-how” in accounting/finance/business related topics,
  • Prior experience in utilizing an ERP system is an asset for this position (SAP, QAD, ORACLE),
  • Very good knowledge in Excel,
  • Prior experience in Bill of Materials and Routings.
