The Office Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Plant Manager and site personnel. This position is responsible for performing general office duties while supporting the plant’s safety, compliance, human resources, inventory management, internal communications, and continuous improvement functions. The role also serves as a confidential liaison between the plant and both internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to and actively promote all compliance and safety standards by identifying and addressing potential risks and communicating concerns to leadership.
- Provide administrative support to plant operations to help ensure the site meets or exceeds key safety, reliability, quality, and service metrics.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees, contractors, vendors, and plant visitors.
- Perform core administrative duties including answering phones, maintaining office supplies, handling mail, generating correspondence, scheduling meetings and events, and resolving routine issues.
- In coordination with the Sr. HR Operations Manager, serve as the onsite HR liaison by supporting employee screening, onboarding and offboarding, timecard management, payroll processing, training coordination, and employee inquiries.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and tracking policies, programs, and training initiatives to ensure consistency and compliance across the plant.
- Lead initiatives that foster employee engagement and strengthen community relationships.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Some schedule flexibility is available
Is this job for you ?
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline preferred, along with 2+ years of related administrative support experience preferred; OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, along with 5+ years of related administrative support experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
- Ability to learn and utilize business systems related to resource planning, procurement, payroll, and training, including SAP, Workday, and UKG.
- Familiarity with World Class Manufacturing (WCM), 5S, Safe Start, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Knowledge of safety and HR protocols within a manufacturing environment preferred.
