The candidate is responsible for a full range of account management activities associated with selling and servicing a geographic territory comprised of medium to large distribution and large end users in the Industrial channel. Market segments are exceptionally diverse with a focus on “Essential” Cutting Tool, Aerospace, Electronics and Automotive Markets. This territory has significant growth potential in a wide variety of applications. The candidate would work closely with traditional industrial technical and US national distribution based in Southern California. The geography encompasses LA Basin; San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles and Inland Empire. Cost saving activities and documentation as well as opportunities development and execution are critical. From an industrial abrasives standpoint, this territory has an emphasis on Super abrasives, Precision Vitrified, Organic, Surface Finishing, Specialties and Coated.
This position requires an individual with a proven track record who is a self-starter, highly motivated, creative, personable team player and can work effectively and autonomously. The candidate will be fluent in Spanish. A Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience is required. The incumbent should have proven sales and marketing skills and an ability to communicate effectively, both orally ad written. Proven analytical, negotiating problem-solving and organizational skills are necessary. This means the incumbent must be skilled at working with & cultivating relationships with Industrial distribution in the territory. Skills required include working with distributor salespeople, training presentations & demonstrations and regular planning & review of target account growth plans. The candidate will need to be capable in all Microsoft Office software, web applications, contact management database software and other forms of data mining and analysis.
The position is best suited for a US National resident in California. Some travel is required within domestic US for technical training and distributor liaison.
