Laboratory Chemist

Why do we need you ?

  • Conduct research and laboratory experiments, perform detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results.
  • Prepare and present technical reports summarizing experiments, findings, and recommendations.
  • Instruct and support laboratory technicians in specimen and sample preparation for the Sales Team.
  • Identify efficient and effective experimental methods while optimizing available resources.
  • Train and mentor laboratory technicians to enhance technical knowledge, productivity, and adherence to procedures.
  • Train sales team on range of products whenever requested.
  • Provide support, troubleshooting, and product application guidance to clients when required.
  • Investigate customer complaints, product defects, and quality issues; perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Test new and modified products to evaluate performance, durability, and compatibility, and provide feedback to R&D and Laboratory team.
  • Provide field insights to R&D by identifying product gaps, improvement opportunities, and market needs.
  • Ensure products comply with local and international standards and documentation requirements.
  • Follow up on market trends to identify opportunities and strengthen product positioning.
  • Perform raw material and finished product testing and maintain accurate records.
  • Carry out routine production batch adjustments and corrections as required.
  • Adhere to the Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action and uphold the company’s ethical and professional standards at all times.
  • Comply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and standards to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the direct manager in line with business and operational requirements.

Is this job for you ?

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
  • 1–2 years of laboratory experience (including internships).
  • Basic knowledge of common analytical techniques.
  • Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
  • Ability to accurately record data and follow established protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and good communication skills.
