This role is working with Saint-Gobain PAM UK who are based in Melton Mowbray.  PAM UK are the premier supplier of ductile iron and cast iron products to the UK's key utilities, telecoms, highways, civil engineering, construction and housing companies.  This site produces a range of access covers, drainage, gully gratings and kerb drainage.

As a Reliability Engineer your key responsibility and function will be to to identify and manage asset reliability that could adversely affect plant performance. There will be a particular focus on maintenance improvement, loss elimination and root cause analysis.  You will play an integral part in keeping production moving.   Our production machinery is varied and includes; material & bulk handling systems, moulding machinery, conveyors, overhead cranes, foundry equipment underground mining systems and hydraulics

Your day to day duties will include (but not limited to) – working closely with the maintenance teams you will: 

• Team leadership – Lead, mentor and develop asset care technicians to achieve departmental objectives
• Plant reliability – Measure and analyse equipment performance to identify and prioritise improvement activities based
• Identifying and reporting on potential failures within a process
• Manage the planning and schedule all maintenance activities
• Performing tests and analysis
• Check new systems or installations
• Develop and improve key performance indicators to drive the plant reliability.
• Root Cause Analysis – Identify root causes and drive corrective actions
• Promote H&S policies and procedures across the site
• Budget accountability: Capital Expenditure projects to £500k.

We would love to hear from you if can demonstrate some of the following key skills and attributes we think are require to succeed in this role:

• Electrical or Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent (ie HNC + relevant or Electrical or Mechanical experience)
• IOSH Managing Safely
• Experience within an industrialised manufacturing environment
• Experience as a control, electrical or electronic engineer
• Proven project management knowledge and experience
• Proven experience of managing individuals and teams
• Broad experience of plant instrumentation systems
• In-depth instrumentation experience
• Experience of RCM & FMEA
• In-depth understanding of SPC
• Experience of working in a World Class Maintenance Department
• Good understanding of CMMS systems
• Experience with AutoCAD would be advantageous
• Excellent communicator and able to present at a senior level
