How will you support us?

This role is working within our successful and highly respected Glassolutions division who are the leading glass partners for building professionals. 

They are the largest processor, distributor and repairer of glazing systems in the UK. With a heritage stretching back 150 years, it’s become a £60M turnover business operating from 11 locations. 

Due to the continued growth and increasing order book we have a great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join us at our production site in Canterbury.  As Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be joining a dedicated team that is responsible for site maintenance and keeping production flowing in this fast paced environment. 

Your day to day responsibilities will include;

•Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
•Undertake scheduled and reactive maintenance of production equipment and plant
•Keep maintenance records up to date
•Carrying out machine inspections
•Identify on-going maintenance issues and assist in root cause analysis in an attempt eradicate
•Ensuring all work is complying with H&S legislation

What kind of person are we looking for?

In order to be successful in this role you will ideally have some of the following;

•Completed an electrical maintenance/engineering apprenticeship and/or a recognized Electrical qualification and/or equivalent experience in this role.
•Experience within an industrialized manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
•Bench fitting, basic workshop machining, welding and fabrication as well as sound knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
•The ability to read and fault find from Mechanical/Hydraulic/Pneumatic drawings and ideally trained against the Electricity at Work Regulations
